Conversation by Ron Willis

Conversation

A certain moment is realized, when life becomes a conversation between two strangers.
A conversation, when the words don't really matter. It's just a feeling
that we're not so different, the sun rises for both of us,
and for both, the moon colors our dreams.

A certain moment is realized, when life becomes a conversation between two friends.
A conversation, when the words are left unspoken, an understanding
that we're the same, sharing a sunset,
a common moon, and a common dream.

A certain moment is realized, when life becomes a conversation between two lovers.
A conversation, when flesh replaces sound. The art of two
becoming one. One heart, one soul
beneath a lover's moon.

Wreckage by Ron Willis

Wreckage

Wilderness heart, abandoned
wreckage of lives now lost. found
in the tall grass of all things
...forgotten. twilight ghosts
haunt a future
I can no longer suffer.
I am beautiful today,
all my tomorrows
can find the words to judge
my scars. too many souls
fight for time that has already passed.

She, the sun
I, the moon,
today the earth
stood in the way,
and I was cast in
to darkness.

All the old paths are overgrown.
How do I reach her?
I thought I remembered the way
but that was a long time ago
when I remembered the way...
